USA – -(Ammoland.com)- I’m Charlie Cook and welcome to another AmmoLand News Second Amendment Update.
We are always told to trust medical science. But what should we do when one of the top medical research universities in the country partners with an agenda-driven anti-gun group?
That is the question we are asking this week at AmmoLand News when the NSSF notified us that Johns Hopkins University was partnering with the Center for Gun Violence Prevention.
Yes, the birthplace of CPR is teaming up with gun grabbers to form the Coalition to Stop Gun Violence!?
This partnership should not be a surprise. John Hopkins University is already the home of Michael Bloomberg’s School of Public Health. The same Mayor Bloomberg that founded Everytown for Gun Safety and funded Moms Demand Action.
A Daniel Webster, who will be the new co-leader of the newly formed Center for Gun Violence Solutions at John Hopkins. Makes claims that the center will use an “evidence-based approach to advocacy”. But then he says research topics will include political violence, and so-called “ghost guns.”
“Ghost Guns” is a made-up term used to demonize homebuilt firearms, not a good start for an “evidence-based approach”!?
Right now, we have the most anti-gun ATF in the country’s history, and they don’t even use the term “ghost guns” because it is just made to scare the public. And this guy is going to lead an evidence-based approach to advocate policy change in regards to firearms?
How about researching the massive amount of self-defense uses of firearms each year? Will John Hopkins University’s Center for Gun Violence Solutions research those instances? Or will they ignore those because they do not fit the narrative that their patron-gun-banner, Michael Bloomberg?
Using the cover of public health is just another underhanded method that the gun grabbers have been reduced to because we gun owners are winning the advocacy battle. With half the country now embracing Constitutional Carry, they are scared and desperate.

Riding Shotgun With Charlie
Riding Shotgun With Charlie isn’t about firearms. It is about having an intimate conversation with 2 people talking. You’re the fly on the rearview mirror. Many passengers are involved in the firearm community, but not all of them.
This is a more intimate conversation than a phone, radio, or Skype interview. You get to see the passengers. And you’ll see where the road and the conversation take you! www.ridingshotgunwithcharlie.com, Facebook
Take the very first document that they produce and publicly destroy it with fake or faults phrases used such as ghost gun / assault rifle and let John Lott review it for false narratives on recorded data.
Let me fix this for you quick . There is NO such thing as gun violence . People are violent , guns are an inanimate object that cannot project violence period . A humans on the other hand can be violent and are . But the anti gun people don’t let the facts get in the way when promoting lies and deception .
I wonder if they will research the million upon millions of UNARMED people who were murdered by “their own” governments over the past 200 years for their reports.
hundreds of millions, most governments like china’s just call it population control, our government called it pacification of native population stalin came up with a different lie for each group
Now we can all agree to the danger we are all facing turn around justice Jail him for life. Our leaders are now headed for total civil unrest in our country states bringing back mask mandates again we should never accept this from any state or judge. We wonder how the politicians responsible for this nation-wide crime wave could possibly be re-elected. Then, we see the news that 57% of US households paid no federal income tax in 2021. A South Carolina judge set a $25,000 bond for a suspect in a mall shooting on Saturday that left 14 people injured, according to the… Read more »
John, how soon will the “media” brush this off the news cycle do you think?
Today if I guess correctly I do not understand how the judge could do this to the victims of this crime against so many
57% is Good News But I wish it was 100%. Households should quit paying federal & state taxes till we see some positive changes in the USA for our money. Why should someone pay the Govt to have their livelihoods destroyed ?
“The American Republic will endure until the day Congress discovers that it can bribe the public with the public’s money.”
― Alexis de Tocqueville
It is ancient history, my friend! The simple solution to the problem – treat it as an equation.
“The American Republic will endure until the day Congress discovers that it can bribe the public with the public’s money.”
― Alexis de Tocqueville
Now, if you remove “Congress” from the equation = problem solved!
Another opinion by a liberal university supported by the very rich who should not receive any federal or the state of Maryland taxpayer dollars. . Of Johns Hopkins’ total R&D spending, $2.482 billion came from federal sources such as the NSF and the National Institutes of Health. “For the first time in ten years, there was a modest increase in the federal government’s share of higher education R&D expenditures, Feb 9, 2021 In 2021, Johns Hopkins University was the top recipient of funding from the National Institutes of Health, with more than $820 million in awards.Feb 28, 2022 How much money did Bloomberg… Read more »
Bloomberg please read this, then just go away please just go away.
Each day on average, 30 Black Americans are killed by guns and more than 110 experience non-fatal injuries. At least every other day, a Black person is shot, These trends worsen in democratic controlled large cities, where Black Americans make up 68% of homicide victims. Gun violence further clusters in specific social networks and neighborhood sub-sections.
John Hopkins a tax shelter for the rich a talking point for Bloomberg and his friends
John, please, please stop using made up political terms, specifically “Gun Violence”. There is no such thing. Guns are not violent. As mentioned earlier, people are violent, and some use guns to carry out that violence.
You make a valid point although the title of this article “Gun Violence research” I was responding to the author.
I will remember this forward
Thank you
Your have valid point and I stand corrected
Respectfully John
This is the most ridiculous thing ever. Violence is NOT a public health epidemic. Violence needs to be dealt with by law enforcement, sentences need to carried to their full term, stop letting criminals out early who have used a firearm in the commission of their crime (violence). Johns Hopkins needs to focus on something like aiding in the reinstatement of our mental health institutions so we can get some of these troubled people off the streets before they commit violent crimes, and stay out of matters that do not concern a medical university. This is really crossing a line… Read more »
