“Secret Service agents protecting President Joe Biden’s granddaughter opened fire after three people tried to break into an unmarked Secret Service vehicle in the nation’s capital,” the Associated Press reported Monday. “The agents, assigned to protect Naomi Biden, were out with her in the Georgetown neighborhood late Sunday night when they saw the three people breaking a window of the parked and unoccupied SUV…”
“Unoccupied SUV…”
She and/or they were not inside. That means they were not protecting lives. They were shooting at human beings to protect property.
Reviewing what the Metropolitan Police Department asserts in its “Instructions to Trainers Concerning Law of Self-Defense,” they’re lucky they didn’t hit the suspects (or, seeing as how they missed, anyone else):
“You may use the amount of force which, at the time of the incident, you actually and reasonably believe is necessary to protect yourself (or a third person) from imminent bodily harm. This may extend to the use of deadly force if you actually and reasonably believe you are in imminent danger of death or serious bodily harm from which you can save yourself only by using deadly force against your assailant… Generally, you may not use deadly force to protect your property.”
That opens up legitimate public questioning, including:
Who fired a gun? How much experience did the agent(s) have? How many shots were fired?
What training have the agents received on the lawful use of force, and was the firing of a gun in this circumstance consistent with that training and the law?
If an investigation shows training protocols and the law were violated, will the agent(s) be subjected to discipline? If so, what is the discipline specified? If an investigation shows laws were violated, will the agent(s) be subjected to arrest and prosecution?
What would happen if an ordinary citizen had opened fire on car thieves? What is the likelihood he would not already have been arrested? Should the agent(s) be treated any differently?
Had the agent(s) “succeeded” in hitting one or more of the suspects, wounding or killing them, what is the likelihood there’d be civil unrest, not just in the District, but widespread to urban areas throughout the land? What if they’d hit someone else?
Why have no “commonsense gun safety law advocates” called for further controls to close the “Only Ones Loophole”?
Is it not the ultimate hypocrisy for those who are protected 24/7 by taxpayer-funded armed bodyguards are working 24/7 to disarm non-connected taxpayers?
And does that granddaughter who doesn’t rate a Christmas stocking get Secret Service protection, too?

meanwhile a dime bag of coke can’t be traced to the Biden’s.
The Secret Service, FBI, Capitol Police, and D.C. Police analyzed the paper label on that bag, which said Property of H.B., and were unable to find either fingerprints or DNA evidence. It is unlikely the mystery will ever be solved.
It isn’t hypocrisy… it’s corrupt, evil, self-entitled jackasses who want to disarm the citizens and rule over them. And a unaccountable and inept pool of government employees who deem themselves above the law.
Which means no one must observe the law. It applies to all, or none at all.
Use of force policies should be changed nationwide to allow for deadly force protection of property. make felons fear being justifiably killed from cover. Citizens should not be persecuted for justifiably defending their property or lives.
citizens should get tax free status for life if they kill a felon in the commission of a crime.
Good morning.
Check Texas Penal Code Sections 9.41 and 9.42.
Thanks, stay well.
RF
That’s not law in DC
lol, quit work and go hunt felons. It’d be more profitable!
Can you imagine how quickly crime would turn around if everyone was deputized and had the authority to shoot felons in the commission of a crime no matter how large or small?
God’s law is there is no sin greater than the other, a sin is a sin.
David, your best last line ever.
I’m all for the actions that the agents took, except that an ordinary police officer would be fired and maybe be imprisoned for the same thing, much less we, the people. If it’s good enough for Bidet and his brood, it should be good enough for us. We haven’t sold out the country like he has.
Many agents are assigned rifles which are kept in the vehicle.
That may be enough to justify an attempt at deadly force.
But, they missed, which is even a sadder story of are they qualified to “protect” anyone?
Or maybe it was Naomi’s turn to carry the “nuclear football.”
If there were rifles or shotguns in the SUV, were they properly secured? What about all of the other gear?
Most likely, this vehicle was a treasure trove of unsecured lethal and non-lethal gear, including electronics.
I wonder which one will promoted out of this?
Right. So many anti-rights groups pushing to mandate “safe storage” — but none of it applicable to LEO or feds. FTS.
I would like a law that says if I keep my AR in the truck but carry my pistol into the store and I find someone breaking into my truck when coming out, I should be allowed to shoot at them? That would be a great law like evidentially these secrete police have but our government has made sure that plebs, surfs and peasants that pay the biggest percentage of taxes that support this country are not allowed to have the same as the ruling class.

In any leftist utopia the law is not a means by which we maintain civil order. No, far from it. The law is simply one more means to suppress opposition. In this case the agents did not commit a thought crime hence no crime.
ha, you probably half-way right!
David-you don’t understand. Laws are for thee and not for me-signed: Hiding Biden
Another case of an unwarranted discharge of a firearm. Pres. Joe must be proud of his advice to fire warning shots.
Will they get the same as the man protecting the woman in the subway that fired two warning shots? Oops, they are not in jail are they. Question answered.
Seems the Secret Service is as CORUPT as all the other KABALS in DC!
This doesn’t show corrupt as much as inept. The recruiting picture says it all. Decades ago I sat on police hiring oral boards. We had three cutting scores. For male whites it took a 90 to continue on to the physical exams. Formals minorities, it was 80 and for all females it was 70. Anyone who could not make 70 was pathetic indeed. Now they wonder why there are problems with cops, when they lower the scores enough for allow problematic people to be sworn in. I imagine this process has only gotten worse with time.
It has. Those policies have been in place for years in all State and Federal service agencies. The final outcome has been a poor if not pathetic product and there are unions there to protect them from being fired when they should not have been hired in the first place.
Lowering the requirement score and giving bonus points for color is bullshit. I do respect giving points for people that have served in the armed forces and that’s it.
Because they are most likely demoRats nothing will happen. That two tier system of justice is how this injustice department works…. If you hadn’t noticed.
My property is my life. If some one tries to take it, because I am a nice person, I will give them one chance to put it back (or fix it in this case). Then all bets are off.
HLB
“The Elite The Worthy” on the FJB approved poster were probably afraid of the dark and shot out. How far does the Free Armed Federal Guards at Our Expense under FJB go….all the way down to 3rd. Cousins?
This is what I think they should have done. Be a good witness, video, if possible. Let the perpetrators do their thing. Call MPDC. I bet Secret Service has a direct radio link. Since the vehicle is now compromised, have another one brought for the protected persons. Prosecute the perpetrators to the full extent of DC and federal law. The agents need to learn how to when to, and when not to shoot. If these perpetrators had really needed to be shot, this could have ended very badly with the president’s granddaughter killed, injured or taken hostage along with bystanders… Read more »
Another example of out of control government bureaucrats abusing their power, which is exactly what the founding fathers fought against!!!!!! We have become a pathetic example of everything the founders fought and died against. Ohh how far we have fallen!!!!!
Oh man, unbelievable. Remember what discipline was given the cop who shot Babbit on J-6? Bet the same thing will happen here. They know the rules and the laws. Their action is proof that they think they are above the law or they are trained using different rules than we are led to believe are in place. The latter is my belief.
With O’biden, I wouldn’t put it past all people being ordered shoot to kill for anything they deem reasonable and answer no questions later, the government agencies will handle it for you and make it justified.
FJB
Cordera you Dumbass; the Secret Service is not part of MPDC nor regulated by their policies so their response is based on use of force policy by the FEDERAL SECRET SERVICE.
That hardly matters. Almost no where in the US can one use deadly force when deadly force is not exhibited against you. The Secret Service agent’s actions are just another proof that a two tier justice system exists.
we were not allowed to shoot dealers that rabbited ,and they were killing people just not with guns
leo’s can do what they want without repercussions, don’t you know that?
there should be no qualified immunity or any other type of immunity for government agents. no one is above the rule of law.
Exactly they are subject to federal use of force policy. Regular cops seem to be above the law in some respects. Federal agents are however pretty much above the law in all respects. To extent @WB’s statement – this is proof of a tiered “justice” system in which our esteemed leaders are free to do whatever they want.
Remember (believe it was JFK who said) when means of legal regress are removed, only illegal and violent means remain. Allowing federal officers to get away with crap like this only takes us closer to a real insurrection.
“Those who make peaceful revolution impossible will make violent revolution inevitable.”March 13, 1962 JFK
CW #2 is inevitable
Correct they are not bound by any MPDC policies or regulations.
They should be bound by supreme court decisions on the use of force.
But the Feds seem to operate on their very own.
Can we say Waco, Ruby Ridge and others
What you are describing is called tyranny . They have to be held accountable and if not then it’s a out of control government agency .
A lot of Federal properties I used to work at had those “Deadly Force Authorized” signs. I remember sometimes wishing we had them on our gov’t vehicles, as well.
Man, next time why don’t you try using a little kindness or diplomacy and tact in your response. Way way over the top.
