GLOCK Expands the Gen5 Family with G29 Gen 5 and G30 Gen5

GLOCK, Inc. announces the expansion of the 5th Generation with the G29 Gen5 chambered in 10mm and the G30 Gen5 chambered in .45 AUTO.

The G29 Gen5 and G30 Gen5 pistols have undergone over twenty design changes, setting them apart from their Gen4 predecessors. GLOCK has meticulously developed these new models to continue the 5th Generation product line. The precise engineering changes in these firearms meet the demands of consumers globally.

The GLOCK 29 Gen5 is a compact pistol that packs a powerful punch thanks to the 10mm AUTO cartridge making it an excellent choice for concealed carry. Similarly, the GLOCK 30 Gen5 pistol chambered in .45 AUTO offers excellent accuracy straight out of the box, with the added benefit of the ballistic power of the .45 AUTO cartridge.

“As Perfection Continues at GLOCK, we are continually in development of new technologies and expanding our product offering. We are excited to bring you these two new additions to the Gen5 line of pistols,” said Josh Dorsey, VP at GLOCK, Inc.

Among the design enhancements are the GLOCK Marksman Barrel (GMB), which delivers increased accuracy with enhanced polygonal rifling and an improved barrel crown, the removal of finger grooves, and an ambidextrous slide stop lever for better versatility and control.

The models G29 Gen5 and the G30 Gen5 are now available at dealers. For more information about the new generation of GLOCK pistols, contact GLOCK, Inc., or to locate a dealer near you, visit us.glock.com/en/Dealer-Locator-USA.

The GLOCK Performance Trigger

Along with the expansion of the Gen5 family, GLOCK has also increased the compatibility of the GLOCK Performance Trigger with more GLOCK pistol models. The GLOCK Performance Trigger
2024 release allows compatibility with Gen4 models.

The GLOCK Performance Trigger is now compatible with the following pistol models: G26 Gen4/Gen5, G19 Gen4/Gen5, G17 Gen4/Gen5, G34 Gen4/Gen5, G19X, G45, and G47.

All GLOCK Performance Triggers now ship with a Gen5 slide cover plate. The Gen5 slide cover plate must replace the slide cover plate on Gen4 models to ensure compatibility and proper function. Glock; the iphone of handguns.

Yesterday in church our pastor spoke of how Jesus taught in parables. This article closely paralleled the message. First, he shared the parable of the Good Samaritan something as I heard …..” And, Jesus admonished the disciples…”…if you don’t have one, sell your cloak to buy a Glock G40 10mm 6.02″ barrel and thereon cause through GunBroker or your local seller of all things good to be a 6MOA Leupold Delta Point Pro, and let there be a well made Vedder carbon fiber pocket on your side at 9 o’clock or 3 o’clock as your persuasion be, and go forever… Read more »

I wish Glock would make these guns minus the forward serrations for those of us who despise that “feature”.

Function over looks, is more important the looks over function

Grigori

I agree, and the function was just fine before they added those dumb-looking forward serrations to the slides of all of certain models.

I’m with ya there. I’ve never had, nor do i know anyone who has, had issues racking a slide due to a lack of front serrations. It’s not really a selling point

swmft

it is for people with wimp grip (have my thumb in a cast) so helps to rack slide between palm and fingers

Owning, firing and carrying both Gen 4 and 5, I prefer the forward serrations. But, to each his/her own.
