Palmetto State Armory HEX Rail: Upgrade Features: More Than Just Aesthetic
The updated HEX Rail from Palmetto State Armory embodies a dedication to improvement and user feedback. Transitioning from the previous model, the HEX Rail maintains its lightweight and slim profile, which has been a favorite among users like myself. However, it now boasts several enhancements that cater directly to the practical shooter.

Full-Length Picatinny Rail: The integration of a full-length Picatinny top rail is a game-changer. It significantly expands the customization options, allowing for the attachment of a variety of accessories such as iron sights, lasers, and lights. This feature is crucial for those of us who rely on our gear being adaptable to different scenarios, whether it’s for competitive shooting, hunting, or tactical purposes.
Enhanced M-LOK Slots: Unlike the previous design, which limited attachment points, the new HEX Rail offers M-LOK slots all around its circumference. This improvement means more versatility in mounting accessories exactly where they are needed, enhancing both the functionality and ergonomics of the firearm.
Angled Design for Improved Grip: The new angular design is not just about looks; it serves a functional purpose by providing a more secure grip. This is particularly important in high-stress situations or when precision is paramount. The enhanced grip helps maintain control and stability, contributing to better overall handling.
PSA HEX Rails are Designed for the Discerning Shooter
Palmetto State Armory has clearly listened to its community in designing the HEX Rail. The updates reflect a deep understanding of what firearm enthusiasts and professionals are looking for in their equipment: reliability, versatility, and precision.
The HEX Rail is available in various lengths to suit both rifles and pistols, ensuring that it can meet the needs of a wide range of firearms enthusiasts. Whether you are upgrading your current setup or outfitting a new build, the HEX Rail promises to elevate your experience.

This reads like it came directly from the PSA sales department, from 10 years ago. Full length pic rails and 7 sided m-lock slots have been around for quite a while. I’m not sure how this is “game changing” or innovative at this stage of the game.
I have nothing wrong with PSA. I have a PSA 5.56 gun that runs well and has for several years, but I really don’t like someone trying to blow smoke up my a$$ telling me how special they are for doing the thing that literally every AR manufacturer does.
This is the company that agreed to give me a refund, pretended they did but didn’t, and then banned me for doing business with them for life when I asked my credit card company to try to get them to actually give me the credit. Zero credibility. Proceed with caution.
I have 3 PSA lowers, 2 novelty ones like the one pictured that are awesome and conversation starters. The other Let’s Go Brandon lower hosts my 300 Blackout upper with stainless barrel. They are all well made and accepts Geissele, LaRue triggers and just about anything you want to add. They don’t break the bank either.
Now, that I have resolved my light strike issue on my .40 Dagger Compact, I have nothing but kudos for PSA!
I like Palmetto State Armory. I have turned a few people on to them and they love theirs too as well as dumped buying the more well known expensive brands because they get the same results when shooting for allot less money.
All this means is that one can add more gadgets and gizmos that will add weight, reduce efficiency in movement, and tire one out quicker than lugging a bag of rocks.
