Las Vegas, NV — On Thursday evening, a self-defense shooting in Las Vegas left one man dead and two others injured. The incident took place around 6:30 p.m. on Cory Place, near Decatur and Charleston Boulevards, when a fired employee tried to run over his former boss with an SUV.
The situation began when a home remodeling worker arrived at his job site intoxicated and was immediately fired from the job. This led to a verbal altercation, after which the disgruntled ex-employee got into his dark SUV and started recklessly driving, attempting to run over his former boss.
Witnesses reported the SUV driving back and forth, striking the boss with the rear of the vehicle and throwing him violently to collide with a residential wall. Several concerned neighbors came out to see the commotion, with one armed with a shotgun. The driver then turned the SUV towards the armed witness and others, prompting him to fire in self-defense.
Las Vegas Metro Police Lieutenant Jason Johansson stated, “The witness, seeing the SUV driving towards him, discharged his firearm, resulting in the death of the driver.”
Officers arrived shortly after the shooting and found the SUV on the sidewalk against a fence, with the driver deceased from gunshot wounds. The injured former boss and another pedestrian were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The witness who fired the shotgun cooperated fully with the police and was taken into custody.
The entire incident was captured on surveillance video, which corroborated the witness’s accounts. Police confirmed that this was not a random act of violence but a direct result of the employment dispute.
The investigation is ongoing, and authorities are urging anyone with additional information to contact the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department or Crime Stoppers.
This incident highlights the importance of self-defense rights and the potential necessity of intervening with deadly force in life-threatening situations to save your friends and neighbors.
Some people shouldn’t drink.
There’s one of them – and he won’t drink again.
“Taken into custody” is just codewords for being chained and often stuffed in a cage.
Our hero should get tax free status for life and the keys to the city from a grateful public.
F*$k the bad guy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Will this be listed in GVA as a mass shooting? One dead and two injured, not counting the shooter.
Sounds like a joke – but I wouldn’t put it beyond that propaganda organization.

Why was the witness who fired the shotgun taken into custody? Was he jailed, even though this is clear-cut self defense or defense of others? WTH?
