St. Cloud, Minnesota – Maxim Defense, the premier manufacturer of precision firearms, suppressors, and accessories, is proud to announce the new QD Suppressor System, the latest addition to the hugely successful MSX Suppressor line.

Maxim Defense QD Suppressor & Flash Hider System

This new suppressor utilizes a proprietary flash hider to quickly attach and remove the suppressor without the use of tools. The QD Suppressor and flash hider are multi-caliber compatible, making them perfect for military, law enforcement, hunters, sports shooters, and firearm enthusiasts.

“We couldn’t be more excited about this new suppressor and flash hider system,” said David Farrell, Vice President of Commercial Sales, Maxim Defense. “The QD is the only quick detachable suppressor system on the market that’s fully serviceable and maintainable, giving it a longer lifespan and better performance.”

Available in the DSX, DS, and DS-K models, the QD suppressor system allows for use across multiple calibers, making it easy for customers to use one suppressor for several different firearms, saving both time and money by only needing one tax stamp. Utilizing a patented M-Kore™ technology, the QD ensures unmatched durability and optimized performance. This suppressor is UTM safe and passed SOCOM’s rigorous endurance and destruction tests, proving it can withstand extreme conditions and heavy use. The new QD and flash hider are finished with a CR-DLC coating, providing better resistance to wear, heat, and carbon buildup; making maintenance easier and less frequent, ensuring long-term reliability and durability.

The new QD Suppressor is designed and engineered to be reliable, versatile, and easy to use. Once the flash hider is installed, the QD is quick to attach and remove without the need for special tools or complex steps. The thicker 1-16th ACME threading ensures better torque transfer for a safe and secure fit. The QD is compatible with multiple muzzle devices (including CGS), giving users the ability to choose based on their specific needs. When the QD suppressor is not attached, the flash hider muzzle device functions very effectively.

I’ve never fired a weapon with a suppressor attached, but I’ve seen a shooter with one attached to his rifle on the LGR and it unbalanced the weapon to be barrel heavy. When he fired the weapon hearing protection was still needed. Anyone know what the decibels would be for these?
