In a historic political comeback, Donald J. Trump has secured his return to the White House, defeating Kamala Harris in the 2024 U.S. Presidential Election. The victory marks the first time in over 130 years that a former president has reclaimed the presidency, making Trump both the oldest president-elect and the symbol of a new era of conservative resurgence. This win not only reshapes American politics but also energizes a pro-gun, pro-liberty base that sees in Trump a defender of freedoms and individual rights.
Sweeping the Swing States
Trump’s path to victory became apparent as he won key battleground states, reversing Democratic leads in North Carolina, Georgia, and Pennsylvania—states he narrowly lost (with the help of the steal) in 2020. With Wisconsin delivering the final push past the 270 electoral vote threshold, Trump captured a strong mandate, sweeping nearly all contested states and setting the stage for what he calls “a new golden age for America.” His victory speech in Florida, surrounded by roaring crowds chanting “USA, USA!” resonated with a tired nation ready to embrace a stronger stance on security, freedom, self-governance, and the destruction of the deep state.
A Mandate for the Second Amendment
Gun Owners of America (GOA), a key player in pro-gun advocacy, hailed Trump’s victory as a direct defense of the Second Amendment. GOA’s Erich Pratt highlighted the election as a turning point against what many pro-gun Americans saw as government overreach by the Biden-Harris administration. Trump has pledged to dismantle recent infringements on gun rights, with plans to strike down federal overreaches, starting with the elimination of red flag laws and restoring national concealed carry reciprocity. In partnership with a newly secured pro-gun Senate majority, Trump’s administration has a clear path to fulfill these promises.
Reclaiming the Senate and Setting the Agenda
Alongside Trump’s win, Republicans regained control of the Senate, giving the GOP the muscle needed to enact bold changes. Trump’s policies include tightening border security, establishing firm immigration laws, and bolstering American economic independence. This win for the Senate also means new opportunities to appoint federal judges who align with a pro-Second Amendment stance, ensuring that future legal battles favor gun owners and pro-liberty Americans.
Shifting Demographics
Significantly, Trump’s victory was powered not just by his traditional base but by new support from young black males, Latino voters, and young voters across the board. This broad coalition shows a growing frustration with policies seen as weakening freedoms and inflaming divisions.
Trump’s appeal across these groups signals a wider cultural shift as Americans rally behind a leader they believe will protect their rights.
Trump’s Vision for America
Trump addressed his supporters, stating, “We’re going to help our country heal… fix our borders, and we’re going to fix everything about our country.” His victory, seen by many as the ultimate stand for American strength and self-determination, is expected to usher in what he calls a “golden age” for America.
As the country moves forward, Trump’s administration will be closely watched as it aims to restore liberties, particularly those linked to the Second Amendment, roll back restrictions, and reaffirm what many view as core American values. With a new pro-gun Senate, the potential for sweeping pro-liberty legislation has never been more achievable, and pro-gun advocates are ready to hold their leaders accountable to this decisive mandate.
Donald Trump being re-elected as President to a second term in the White House is certainly a big step in the right direction. Too, we collectively must take back our federal and state governments, and judiciary from treasonous anti-gun socialists! There however, remains much work to be done in restoring our Constitutional Republic. No…America is not a democracy, but a republic! Also, consider David Codrea’s pro-Second Amendment and civic pro-gun articles which run in Guns Magazine, for instance. Now is not the time to set back and do nothing, but to continue to get involved, be an informed active registered… Read more »
Thank you for the kind referral. To clarify, I no longer write for GUNS Magazine and am currently Politics Field Editor for Firearms News. And, of course, I’m a regular AmmoLand contributor.
I want to thank everyone in every state who made this ass whoopin possible .
If you look at the county red/blue map of WI, you will see a very large red area in the central and northern areas. That’s where I live, in that northern “red”. It’s big, but it’s overwhelmingly rural and sparsely populated. I vote in a rural township at an old, one-room schoolhouse built in the 1880s, surrounded by potato fields, with a national forest not far away. I’ve voted there for 33 years. Until tuesday, I have never seen a line to vote that went outside the building, around the side and into the parking lot. That was at 10;30… Read more »
For all the joy I m feeling that Trump won, I am nearly as joyful that the cackle and nasal whine of CommieLa will only resound in the halls of history and we may never hear her obnoxiousness ever again.
I agree with you.
It was “To Big To Rig!” Thanks to everyone who voted for Liberty and Freedom! You helped save the American Republic!
I never want to hear that insincere cackle ever again-and Minnesota voters, even though you didn’t vote for the traditional American values, you have some serious self evaluation you must address, starting with your communist pedophile governor.
Yes, I am so proud of about half of the American people that worked a successful overthrow! Now is time for us to send congratulations to Trump and pressure him go get rid of the BATFE … an expensive, corrupt, and totally unnecessary agency!
WB … and 87,000 armed IRS agents .
How many EO’s Do you think he will cancel on day one ?
Well, maybe that depends upon us. I suggust a letter writing campaign.
WB … That and like I said before GOA may have his ear
Follow Wild Bill’s advice and write your representatives and the White House, it’s very easy to send them an email. The new year starts soon as do our dues to the GOA, FPC, SECOND AMENDMENT FOUNDATION, CCKBA, and other firearms advocacy groups we belong to, also I’m sure there are still dues paying members of the self imposed impotent NRA reading this article at Ammoland who should take this advice too. Write on your 2 A advocacy group’s dues remittance form and check or credit card submission your same message demanding they lobby to defund the BATFE and rescind the… Read more »
You’re absolutely correct, we must hold our reps feet to the fire.
He should have an intern print all of Sleepy Joe’s EO’s and feed them into a shredder on a live stream.
Not everyone in Minnesota voted for that evil creepy woodchuck, Maoist fan boy Walz.
You better watch your tone pig-fucker! Before you end up on some wheelchair basketball team!
Funny, I get put in moderation, for I don’t know why, and you can post vulgar words and threats.
People here like his brand of humor. You could learn a lot from him.
Now that is funny!!
Well he is not allowed to eat them .
His home county went for Trump!!
Editor Riehl: Good summary of the election. Kudos.
We still need the results for the House of Representatives. Like the Senate, I’m expecting good news.
Maybe ammo prices will come down.
Not likely with wars continuing and our idiotic dependency on China for war supplies. In many ways we are in similar position to Japan before Pearl Harbor. They had best weapons, most experienced troops, and a rather large well equipped military. However they were dependent (mostly on US) for fuel and resources. Once we were able to cut off their supply, they were vulnerable to attrition. Now we are dependent upon China in order to resupply our military and somewhat dependent on imported energy. Given likelihood of war between us and China over Taiwan – sending our money there and… Read more »
Let’s all hope that ammo manufacturing is one of the industries brought back to America. The end of the Russia Ukraine war could increase availability and bring down price of 5.45 and 7.62 x 39.
Anybody else but bigoted liberals would have seen this coming! Instead of a serious political campaign they just went from city to city pushing the race card. But what else is new?
and most black people know they are black, what they dont know is if there will be a good job for them if the demoncrats keep shipping them over seas
better to take a chance than go with a bad known
When Liberal Progressive democrats and the fake news media spend months calling people racist, sexist, garbage and fascists. It’s no wonder 72,000,000 voters including people of color, women and young people rejected them at the ballot box. Even worse they continue to do it after losing in a landslide.
And doing stupid shit like going full swat and then offing a squirrel..
“You can’t fix New York” as the saying goes.
It’s about time the American public woke up and did the right thing!
Thank G-d, we can at least breath a collective sigh of relief about the Supreme Court. We won’t be hearing for a very long time again (and perhaps, never again) about packing the court or about the liberal, anti-constitutional cabal threatening law-abiding citizens gun rights. Maybe, authorities will focus again in punishing the perps.
I usually use the hyphen for short comments that I believe will eventually be erased. When I know writing the Lord’s name won’t be in any way discarded, I include “O”.
we can say what we want it is just how long before it is approved
I’ve had several innocuous posts here at Ammoland disappeared and my last 2 that went into moderation purgatory take a week to be approved. Sometimes caution is the key, even here.
If the Dems want so badly for and expanded SCOTUS, I say we give them four more justices (conservative constitutionalists) in the spirit of bipartisanship. The leftist meltdown temper tantrums would be epic.
I wonder what circuit courts like the Ninth Circus are going to do now. There’s no way they can keep slow walking all the 2A cases hoping for a less gun friendly SCOTUS.
Now, more work begins folks…Lets start with ccl reciprocity, silencers off the nfa, as well as sbr’s, sbs’s, and repeal the hughes amendment. Then lets repeal the remainder of the nfa. There is a lot of work to do in the next four years. Call all of your senators and reps, and start the ball rolling! Let’s get this done!
Anyone else disturbed by how close Texas was? Cruz got less than 51% of the vote. Trump wasn’t all that much higher. My county was between 55 and 60% red – while in 2016 it was 60% for Trump and 70%+ for all the other republicans. Hopefully Trump does not push the social issues which were used to attack him so that leftists can see how wrong they were. Simultaneously I hope he meets our expectations on 2A, economics, war and migration. Each of these a tall order – but if democrats come up with a decent candidate (not harris… Read more »
PLUS The VP in the senate
Thank God.
Now, we need to pray there’s not another “lone gunman” that gets through another “security failure”, again.
Well, it looks like I’m eating crow on this one. It was the Pedocrat’s opportunity to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. But they were too stupid by half to run Biden and then when he tanked, as I predicted, to run Harris and her god awful choice of Walz. Although I voted for Trump in 2020, I wrote in DeSantis as the best choice for America. Besides I knew that MT would be solid Trump voters. So it was just my F you Trump for being too cowardly to participate in the GOP debates and that is where… Read more »
I’m glad the Senate flipped, because that should allow Constructionist judges to be appointed to replace Thomas and Alito, Roberts maybe (I’m assuming Sotomayer will cling on to the bitter end like Ginsburg). It’ll be nice if the House stays Red if only so I don’t have to hear the inevitable political impeachment circus start again (even better if there was a strong Libertarian contingent but oh well, can’t have everything). It’d also be nice if the idiots in Congress could pass a budget on time, but the Repub civil war will continue to bog things down. On 2A, if… Read more »
Someone needs to ‘splain to me how him saying “Take the guns now, due process later” is anything even close to being pro 2nd Am! Is he really that stupid, to think that real due process is going to happen, when it’s not being forced to happen by us being armed?!?! He’d have to be an idiot to think that! And how about his totally B.S. “Operation Warp Speed” crap with the Death Jabs that were actually already patented back in 2016? Even AFTER reports were coming in hand over fist that the Death Jabs were maiming and killing people,… Read more »

Maybe she’ll knit you a sweater..
You’re a leftwing idiot, but even an idiot can be correct on some things. Trump, like Harris, will just do what he wants. SSDD.
you can’t fix stupid.
