I have been doing some knife research lately. The D2 steel concerns me as it is difficult to sharpen with traditional stones but good with diamond stones. It does not excel in other areas. Here is a synopsis:
D2
Edge Retention 3.5/10
Ease of Sharpness 4/10
Corrosion Resistance 4/10
Toughness 6/10
While it is inexpensive, there are several other modern steels that would be a better choice if they are affordable and you are going to use diamond stones..

Bought one. This price is too good to pass up. Going to use it like the Buck 110 which I DON’T HAVE…keep buying them and giving them away. I’m not giving this one away. I think it looks nicer than the 110.
Sounds like a good plan. BTW, why do you give all your Buck 110’s away?
Relatives who need them but don’t know it yet.
When’s the new Remarms plant in Georgia going to be up and running? Anybody heard? I’ve looked, but can’t find any information.
