I may be mistaken but I have always thought that +P ammo was designed for fbi protocol ammo to achieve “barrier blind” performance (windshields, wall materials, etc) not necessarily to inflict more damage to the target.
Qualifier: For free H&S you need to purchase over $149. Plus, there is a $2.34 ‘just cuz’ charge. But still seemed like a decent enough offer to sucker me in. 😉
I’m not sold on the +P idea. It seems no realistically usable handgun is a true man stopper. With a handgun especially, it always seems to come down to shot placement.
I know everyone’s got an opinion, but, I think if one deems a standard 9mm to be not enough, just go bigger, like a .40S&W, .45ACP, or 10mm, etc.
No practical handgun/load will come close to matching a rifle/shotgun.
