The 1911BKO is only the second 1911 pistol to be introduced over the past year, following in the footsteps of the successful 1911TC model in stainless steel just last year.
The Auto Ordnance 1911BKO frame incorporates GI specs and features a matte black finish frame, barrel and slide. The carbon steel slide, sear and disconnector are machined from solid bar stock and heat treated properly to assure durability and long life over many thousands of rounds. The low-profile sights feature a blade front sight and a rear drift adjustable for windage. The grip is brown checkered plastic.
This .45 ACP has a 5” barrel, length is 8.5” overall and weighs just 39 oz. The 1911BKO is 100% made in the USA and ships with one 7-round magazine. The BKO has a thumb safety, grip safety and firing pin block.

What does the bko stand for?
I bought my Auto Ordnance BKO 1911 from budsgunshop.com for under $500.00 dollars in march of this year 2016. Ever part that handgun was made at the Kahr Firearms Group brand new Auto Ordnance factory in Worcester, MA in USA. None parts this handgun came from any sub contractor where all made there. The fit and finish on Auto Ordnance BKO 1911 is good you find on Colt or Springfield Armory Gi spec 1911. “A real Springfield”? You mean the one that’s made from Brazilian parts? Yup, that’s right, strip one and its stamped inside the frame. It used to be stamped on the side but it hurt sales too much. Just like when Winchester was hiding the Assembled in Portugal under the barrel on Model 70’s. I proudly own and carry the parkerized version of this pistol. Made in Worcester, Mass. I am a Class 3 SOT dealer. Fwiw.
For the price they ask, I can get a Taticial .45 from Sarcoinc.com with more bling on it. The plain jane one from rock island is going for under 4 bills. Auto ord is only budget priced if you have deep pockets.

I’ve got a auto ordnance 1911 A1 us army 100th anniversary edition that was made in September of 2010 and the gun looks identical,what’s the difference?
Budget priced? How about under $300. That’s my budget for a stripped down .45.
For that much I’d rather spend 150 more and buy a real Springfield 1911 I got one and wouldn’t trade it for the world
Made is USA? USA cars and trucks are made in USA, or ‘THE’ USA, but with parts from foreign countries. They are “assembled in the USA”, but that’s not realymade here, is it? There have been news reports thar even the “Made In USA” has been faked along with the fake UAL labels found on electronic equipment and cables, including electric tools. Looks nearly identical to a Rock Island, not saying Armscorp makes these, but prices are very similar.
Is this a BKO – Bangkok Knockoff counterfeit gun, or an actual Auto Ordnance production pistol?

Who cares where it was made? It has to pass the metallurgical tests. One of the best 1911’s I own is a Norinco. I paid $125 for it when I had an FFL before the import ban. It’s had $80 worth of work by done by Mike McClellan 13 years ago and will and has outshot a Kimber.
