Charleston, WV -(AmmoLand.com)-Â HB4145 Public Hearing
Anti-gun forces have called a public hearing for HB4145 in House Judiciary. In this hearing, they will make a showing, and speak to the committee about why and how your rights should be infringed.
This is activism, folks. This is what we do. We must show up with as many black shirts as possible. We must, once again, show the House Judiciary Committee where West Virginia stands on our liberty.
The hearing will be at 8:30AM this Wednesday (1/27) at the Capitol, most likely in the House Chamber, but possibly in the Judiciary Committee. Arrive early to allow yourself time to get through the security screening now in effect at the Capitol.
If we want constitutional carry, we must prove it. We must prove to our legislators that we care about this issue, and will remember their positions in the polls.
Mercer County Members/Friends/Associates
Delegate John Shott (R-Mercer) is the Chairman of the House Judiciary Committee. We are hearing rumors that anti-gun forces have his ear, and he intends to allow damaging amendments to water down our rights recognized in HB4145. Last year, Delegate Shott voted against us both in his committee, and on the house floor.
We believe that Shott considers the current version of the bill better, but we do not know his intentions or his position. It is absolutely imperative that Delegate Shott hear from residents of Mercer County.
Contact Delegate Shott at (304) 340-3252, or email him at [email protected] and urge him to move the bill through his committee without changes.
Spread the word among your family, friends, co-workers and neighbors. Let them know their rights are up for debate, and their delegate controls their fate. Ask them to call or email. You only have two days to get this done.
What Changes?
We’re hearing rumblings that anti-gun forces intend to shove “duty to notify” into the bill, among other anti-gun, anti-liberty measures.
“Duty to notify” means that at your first contact with law enforcement, you have to tell them, “I have a gun.” What’s bad about that, you say?
Duty to notify will place officers and citizens in “he said she said” situations every day. The officer always wins in he-said, she-said.
The vast majority of WV’s law enforcement officers are supportive of our rights, and would never behave in a manner depicted in the video above. But we cannot write state law on that. State law should protect our rights from even the tiny minority that may be prone to abusing them.
Tell Delegate Shott that Duty to Notify is not acceptable.

i am sure the other cop did not like the other cop but he my not be able to say anything to him but he can talk to his boss yes the ass cop should loss his job never be cop and should go to jail and have a record i don’t think would keep my mouth closed and i sure would have more money from him and the county
I hope to God that these cops involved lose their jobs and are banned from holding a job in any public service for life as well as being charged.
There are good cops and bad cops everywhere you go. WV has the best State Police in the nation ,but as far as county and local police go, there is plenty of room for improvement. A large percentage should be working elsewhere, especially here in Buckhannon.
Cops that don’t understand why they have lost respect from the public should be forced to watch this video.
The cop is the dumb ass !! Fuck cops, arrogant pig mutha fuckers. He should be shot in the head.. That dumb fuck is outta line.. Please publish this.
