Hunter Biden GUILTY on 3 Federal Gun Charges: A Historic Verdict

In a landmark decision, Hunter Biden, son of President Joe Biden, has been found guilty on all charges in a federal gun case. The trial, held in Wilmington, Delaware, marks the first time a sitting president’s child has been convicted of a crime. Hunter Biden was charged with lying on a federal firearm form, making a false statement related to purchasing a firearm, and possessing a gun while using illegal drugs. The case has drawn significant attention, particularly from pro-gun communities and advocates for Second Amendment rights.

Background & Charges

The charges stem from an incident in October 2018 when Hunter Biden purchased a Colt Cobra .38 caliber revolver from StarQuest Shooters & Survival Supply in Wilmington. To buy the gun, he filled out an ATF Form 4473, where he was asked if he was an unlawful user of or addicted to any controlled substance. Despite his well-documented struggles with crack cocaine addiction, Biden checked “No” on the form, leading to the charges against him.

The trial revealed Hunter Biden’s tumultuous history with drug abuse. His ex-wife, Kathleen Buhle, and his sister-in-law turned girlfriend, Hallie Biden, provided emotional testimonies about his addiction and its impact on their lives. The prosecution presented text messages and other evidence showing Biden’s continued drug use, including a message sent the day after purchasing the gun stating he was “waiting on a dealer named Mookie.”

The Trial

The week-long trial was a roller coaster of emotions and revelations. Prosecutors argued that Hunter Biden’s denial of drug use on the federal form was a blatant lie, pointing to his own memoir, “Beautiful Things,” where he detailed his battles with crack cocaine. Defense attorney Abbe Lowell contended that Hunter Biden did not consider himself a current drug user at the time of the gun purchase, highlighting that the form’s language did not explicitly ask about past use or addiction.

Family members, including Hunter Biden’s daughter Naomi and his uncle James Biden, were present throughout the trial, providing support. However, notable absences included First Lady Jill Biden during the verdict announcement. President Joe Biden, despite his son’s legal troubles, has consistently expressed support, stating he would not pardon Hunter if convicted, a stance he reaffirmed in an interview with ABC News.

Sentencing & Future Trials

Hunter Biden faces up to 25 years in prison, although experts suggest a much shorter sentence is likely for a first-time, non-violent offender. The court has not yet set a sentencing date, leaving the Biden family and the public awaiting the next steps in this legal saga.

In addition to the gun charges, Hunter Biden is scheduled to face a separate trial in California on September 5 for allegedly avoiding taxes. This trial could further complicate his legal situation and impact his father’s ongoing reelection campaign.

Reactions & Implications

The conviction has sparked a range of reactions. Many in the pro-gun community see the case as a critical test of the legal system’s fairness, particularly regarding gun rights and the handling of firearms offenses. Some argue that Hunter Biden’s conviction underscores the importance of strict adherence to gun laws, even for those in the highest echelons of society.

On the political front, the trial and conviction add another layer of complexity to President Joe Biden’s campaign as he seeks a second term. Critics have used Hunter Biden’s legal issues to challenge the president’s integrity and leadership, while supporters view it as a testament to his commitment to justice, regardless of personal connections.

More Coverage to Come

Hunter Biden’s conviction is a historic moment in American legal and political history. As the son of a sitting president, his case highlights the ongoing debate over gun rights, legal accountability, and the personal challenges of addiction. As the nation waits for the final sentencing and subsequent trials, the impact of this case on the Biden family and the broader political landscape remains to be seen.

Trump should offer to pardon Hunter if he wins, that would out the Dems in a quandary.

100%. Trump should do this while saying something supportive of 2A, something on the lines of how ATF has been commies in Biden administration, and then just say he’ll pardon Hunter Biden as POTUS #47.

Now he can win on appeal and strike the whole thing down, rather than just be a single as applied case. If he fails there he’s an acceptable loss.

Finnky

Another reason biden will issue a pardon. If that is where appeal is headed and he’s still in office — he will pardon hunter in a heartbeat in order to preserve unconstitutional laws. My limited experience with declining elder brains suggests that over-time they tend to become more obsessed on smaller concepts – he is obsessed with eliminating private gun ownership. That obsession and irrationality just grows – until his mind completely liquidates.

It is now time for Republicans in congress to introduce the Save Hunter Biden Act. Complete elimination of 18 U.S. Code § 922 – Unlawful acts and 18 U.S. Code § 924 – Penalties, subsections of which Hunter was charged and convicted. Without these, chapter 44 begins to fade away.

Neither Trump or Hunter are inked as felons until final sentencing day, which may never come for either of them. As of now, neither is convicted of anything.

IMO The Dummycrats will never allow Hunter’s lawyers to appeal his case using Bruen as a defense. They would demand that Hunter be the sacrificial lamb and do his time for the good of Gun Control. They couldn’t take the chance of him winning an appeal using Bruen to destroy the Federal 4473 Background check on historical equivalence. Could you imagine the son of a Democratic President taking out the Federal 4473 Background check form? No way! Background checks are their greatest gun control agenda by far.
