Kamala Harris’s 20-Year War on Gun Rights: What Every Gun Owner Needs to Know ~ VIDEO

In the heart of California’s gun rights debate stands Chuck Michel, a seasoned lawyer and AmmoLand News contributor who has spent the last 20 years challenging anti-gun measures spearheaded by now Vice President Kamala Harris.

Michel’s story is a critical one for voters to understand, as it provides a window into how Harris’s record on gun rights reveals her long-standing opposition to the Second Amendment. While Harris has attempted to shift her stance in recent years, her history of supporting extreme gun control measures raises important questions about her true beliefs.

The Weekly Reload podcast recently featured Michel, who discussed his numerous court battles with Harris, most notably over Proposition H. This 2005 San Francisco measure sought to ban the sale, purchase, and possession of handguns for nearly all city residents. If it weren’t for Michel’s legal fight, Proposition H would have taken away the rights of law-abiding San Franciscans to own handguns.

One of the most shocking aspects of Harris’s support for Proposition H is how extreme the gun confiscation/ban was, even for her own political allies.

While prominent anti-gun advocates like Gavin Newsom and Dianne Feinstein distanced themselves from the measure, Harris backed it wholeheartedly. This total ban would have forced gun owners to turn in their handguns within 90 days. Yet, Harris’s stance didn’t stop there—Michel highlighted that throughout her career as District Attorney and Attorney General, she consistently opposed gun ownership in any form.

Harris’s record on gun rights isn’t just a matter of local California politics. As Vice President and potential future President, her long-standing opposition to the Second Amendment is deeply concerning to gun owners and voters nationwide. While Harris claims she supports the Second Amendment, her actions tell a different story. Michel made it clear that Harris’s history of pushing for extreme gun control measures, like Proposition H and restrictions on concealed carry, shows she has always been about restricting gun rights, not protecting them.

For those who value their right to keep and bear arms, it’s important to remember that California is often the testing ground for anti-gun laws. The measures that Harris supported in California are a preview of what could be pushed at the national level. As Michel pointed out, “California is The Moldy petri dish of bad gun control ideas that they export across the country.”

Gun owners must remain vigilant. Even as Harris downplays her anti-gun record, her history reveals a deep commitment to restricting Second Amendment rights. It’s critical to stay informed and engaged in the fight to protect these rights from politicians who seek to erode them under the guise of “safety” and “common-sense gun laws.”

Harris’s past should serve as a warning to all Americans who value their freedoms: politicians who once supported total handgun bans will not hesitate to push for more restrictive measures if given the chance. As Chuck Michel’s victories in court demonstrate, it’s possible to push back against these efforts—but only if gun owners stay informed, stay active, and never let their guard down.

If you want to stay informed about the latest developments in gun rights and Second Amendment issues, The Weekly Reload Podcast is a must-listen. Opposing this legislation is so simple, “This total ban would have forced gun owners to turn in their handguns within 90 days” does this apply to criminals? How do non criminals protect themselves and their families from the criminals that don’t follow the law? By definition a criminal is one who DOESN”T follow the law.
