Smith & Wesson Brands, Inc. (NASDAQ Global Select: SWBI), a leader in firearm manufacturing and design, announced today the addition of the .357 Magnum caliber to the Model 1854 series.

When the Model 1854 was first introduced, it featured the popular .44 Rem Mag, followed by the .45 Colt in the months that followed. Now, enthusiasts can enjoy the same smooth lever action rifle in an additional caliber that harkens back to a classic American design. Available in two configurations, users have the choice of a black polymer and stainless-steel finish or a walnut stock paired with an Armornite® finish. Each model boasts a 10+1 capacity, a 19 ¼-inch threaded barrel, and a crisp, smooth action. Additional features include a 4 ¾-inch Picatinny base for optics mounting, an adjustable XS Sights® ghost ring rear sight, a gold bead front sight, a flat-face trigger design, and a removable magazine tube for safe unloading.

The Model 1854 is engineered to blend the timeless aesthetics of a traditional lever-action rifle with the benefits of modern design enhancements. Recently, the Model 1854 earned recognition as Ballistics’ Best Lever-Action Rifle – 2024, a testament to its exceptional design and performance. It is the perfect balance of tradition and innovation and is now available in .357 Magnum.

I wonder why the bolt, loading gate, hammer, trigger, and lever aren’t stainless on the stainless model?
It’d seem if you’d make a stainless steel rifle, it should all be stainless.
