San Bruno, CA –-(Ammoland.com)- Horus Vision continues to lead long-range shooting innovation with the announcement of the new HDMR riflescope.

This multipurpose scope comes in a versatile 3.5-21x 50mm configuration and the first generation model features the patented Horus H58 reticle.

The HDMR is a joint offering with Bushnell Outdoor Products meant for a wide variety of weapon platforms and multiple types of engagements over a wide range of distances.

At roughly two pounds and a compact 13 inches, the HDMR is one of the lightest and shortest 34mm tube scopes on the market. The larger tube allows 26 mils of elevation (5 mils per revolution), adjustable in 1/10 mil clicks with large, locking turrets that are easily turned and have a crisp feel even through gloves. It features a side parallax adjustment and high quality Bushnell optics. Enhanced with the anti-reflective Ultra Wide Band Coating, the scope delivers 95 percent light transmission for ultimate brightness and true color across the light spectrum.

The HDMR is made from hammer forged T6061 aluminum and is 100 percent waterproof, fog proof and shock proof. Argon purging helps ensure long-lasting performance by decreasing the likelihood of gas dissipation and protecting against chemical reactions within the scope that can cause degradation and seal corrosion.

The long zoom ratio makes for an incredibly versatile scope. New features on the Horus reticle make close encounters even faster; while long-range is still a dial twist away, using the embedded Speed Calculation formula with the time-tested accuracy of the Horus grid.

“We listened to the tactical market and heard the need for a non-complicated, rugged and compact scope at a good price point,” says Larry Chao of Horus Vision. “This is it. This is the do everything scope in the format everyone has been asking for.”

Horus teamed with Bushnell on this effort because of the commitment Bushnell has made to enhance its military and tactical product lines. The joint development is the first of its kind between Horus and Bushnell, and both companies are optimistic about the unique opportunity to collaboratively deliver high-quality products to the military and tactical markets.

The first generation HDMR will include the H58 reticle as part of an exclusive, limited production military promotion. It will be followed by HDMR releases in June featuring the H59 and TReMoR reticles.
