Dear Senator, I am writing to express the National Rifle Association’s strong opposition to S. 3369, the DISCLOSE Act.
You may recall that the DISCLOSE Act passed the House in 2010 but died in the Senate after an intense lobbying effort by Gun Owners of America and other groups.
Senator Barbara Buono (D-18) & Senator Loretta Weinberg have legislation which would require organizations, including the NRA and ANJRPC, to have their members names, addresses and their employers’ information sent to the government…
Unfortunately, for those Iowa Gun Owners’ members who are also NRA members, that’s your money helping to re-elect this anti-gun Governor…
With a lame-duck session of Congress looming after the election, anything is possible — including another attempt to push through DISCLOSE. So please stay tuned…
